Medicine Wheel play an instrument as a metaphor for balance, wholism, harmony and more. Joseph (2013) claims that the Medicine Wheel exists in more than one structure, and their criticalness and use is culture-explicit. Joseph (2013) point out that Medicine Wheel supposed to symbolize the connection and continuous interaction of the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual realities and the circle shape represents the interconnectivity of all parts of one's being, incorporating the association with the common world. Medicine Wheel is the symbol circle is divided into four equal parts corresponding to each part of each color. Medicine Wheel has 4 colors such as black, white, red, and yellow Medicine Wheel that we recently realized in logos, on the instrument, in the art of Indigenous people. Symbolic points determine the strength, medicine of four directions east, south, west, north with four different colors, in addition, it is also the symbol of the four ancestries of humanity. Schneider (2019) claims that Medicine Wheel is reflecting the three-dimensional image of the spirit world of the four directions is the Creator above and the Mother Earth below, Medicine Wheel is also known as the 4 teachings, 4 winds, 4 cardinal directions, and Medicine Wheel simplifies abstraction issues allow students to easily absorb. Every part of it has significant meaning and role, but they depend on each other to maintain the balance, harmony for the circle. According to Cree Elder Michael Thrasher, East is the gift of vision, definite and awareness, South is relating to the vision, show personal experience, West uses the gift of reason to figure it out, North uses the gift of movement to do or actualize the vision. In my opinion, the land is not an abstract concept but is very close and intimate in the simple life of every human being. The land is also the result of hard labor to survive, to build houses. The land is not only felt by the vast geographical space from the forest to the task but also by the normal living space of each person, the space of couple love, the space of nostalgia. The land is also the place of a return to the souls of the passionate homeland, familiar but sometimes large, magnificent and magnificent, especially for those who go away. The land is made up of old stories, from the classic good examples that the people of the future still remind each other.
Homeland love is not merely a concept, a wide range and has many different meanings. The love of my homeland first comes from simple things. That idleness not only reduces the love of our homeland but also makes our patriotism more and more. My homeland from this perception is not only about the place of birth but also my homeland expressing affection and origin. Moreover, it is a place to keep all memories associated with childhood, with the life of every human being. To me, the land showing in fairy tales once upon a time, my mother told me, in the bamboo tree in front of the alley, the rice plants were heavy in the fields. The land is the embodiment of the traditions of thousands of lives, evidenced by a rich cultural tradition. Therefore, through the simplest images, the most common, they all remind me of the images of the countryside incense. Just by needing to examine the grain of rice, I remember the image of my land. Again, remember the source of the rice seed that is sprouting up, remember the rain, remembering the alluvial sediment for the soil to be more fertile and lusher. The grain of rice for me is crystallized from the sweetest thing in my mother's land. In addition, the grain of rice from the homeland shows the hard work of the farmers, the labor is full of a great love of the homeland, it is not only a product but also a gift god not only farmers but also those who are far from their homeland. Because my homeland grew up, it was a place where everyone relied on agriculture to live and earn money, so the grain of rice was something when I looked back and remembered my homeland, remembering the land I raised.
According to Sark (1992) as cited in Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (1996), Indigenous people claim that land play essential role in conceptual and spiritual of Indigenous which is the representation of the source of food security, shelter and clothing; forming labor division and social agency along with recreational and ceremonial events; and structures of governance and management, the way people connect relationships and live on land also constitutes the foundation of society, nature, governance, and community. Happyjack (1992) as cited in Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (1996) claim that the Indigenous Peoples to maintain and preserve land is extremely sacred to them everywhere in Canada even if the terrain there is the same way but the preservation of the land is what they consider to be Cultural existence, because for them land is the place to raise them and is the heart of Indigenous Peoples culture. Mitchell (1992) as cited in Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (1996) pointed out Indigenous Peoples depend heavily on land and they are their livelihoods, even in remote places like cities they will try to connect with homeland through cultural event rituals such as catching, gathering, easting, harvesting, fishing and hunting events
I respect the Indigenous Peoples because we live and work on the land of Indigenous Peoples, where people have opened up their lands for us. I preserve and protect them for development constantly of these lands, moreover, we need to preserve their national cultural identities. I strongly believe that we need to educate children about the importance and great contributions of indigenous people to the formation and development of the land here. I am respecting the homeland of Indigenous Peoples is to respect the sovereignty, interests, and culture of Indigenous Peoples, cultural values and ideologies. We have been living on the land of Indigenous Peoples, we borrow water, lend their land and air to survive so we must be responsible for preserving and respecting their homeland. More than that, I think to find and absorb the good things in the economy, culture, and society of Indigenous Peoples because Indigenous Peoples have their own cultural values to enrich the understanding of culture long-time of Indigenous Peoples. It facilitates the development of people with multiple national identities, contributing to human culture. Students learn the quintessence and culture of Indigenous Peoples is a way to contribute to improving their cultural values such as the view about homelands. Moreover, through the views of Indigenous Peoples about the land, I feel that the land becomes a sacred part like human beliefs, which is a part of life, where people recognize happiness and peace.
